Five simple steps to an exact tile count
Give the tile's width and length in millimetres. Also set the grout line width – usually 1–3 mm for tiles, 3–5 mm for natural stone.
From corner is the classic approach. From centre centres the tiles for symmetry. With the latter, you can choose to centre on the X, Y or both axes.
Enter a name, height and width for each wall. You can add up to 10 walls. The system will calculate each one separately.
Tick whether you want adhesive and grout calculated too. Enter the adhesive coverage (kg/m²) and grout depth for an accurate estimate.
Press "Calculate". The system will generate a tile layout diagram for each wall and give you a 10% waste allowance recommendation.
Proper planning before you start tiling saves both materials and time.
Recommended for visible areas – bathrooms, kitchens. Keeps the layout symmetrical and looking neat.
The traditional method – simple and fast. Suits areas out of sight, storage rooms, utility spaces.
Always buy 10% more tiles than the calculated amount. You'll need it for breakages, miscut pieces and future repairs.
